Our mind is incredible. It is an absolute marvel of biological design, invention and cognition, but it has no interest in what we think. It simply toys with whatever is fed into it and automatically instructs and influences how we act and behave based on that input alone.
Like it or not we create our own realities, for better or worse, simply by the dominant thoughts that repeat in our minds all day long. The big question is “how can we consistently and consciously direct our mind energy toward achieving our goals? Quite simply, if you want to change your outcomes, you must master your thinking. Change your thoughts and your reaction to your thoughts and your world changes too.

Now we can’t deny that are entire fields of scientific research and observation dedicated to this idea and we could discuss that for many hours, months or years. However, that would not make a tangible difference in our lives.
Why? Because gaining knowledge of how our mind works for or against us is not enough to promote effective change. To gain desirable and directed change we must act on the knowledge in a specific way and develop the art of mindfulness – or self-observation.
